PR:ARMA2 HIGHLIGHTS REEL #1
There's a lengthy progress report on the BI forums (thread will probably be moved) and also on the PR:ARMA2 forums. It seems the project is growing some and they're now looking at a June/July first release.
There's a lot of great detail in the update, something that stood out for me is that they're now working with the developers of the TS3 plug-in where previously they'd expressed a desire to stick with Mumble for directional sound.
They also hope to make it possible to allow players to shoot from vehicles, if anyone can make that work then I think DeanosBeano (on their team) is probably the guy to do so.

PROJECT REALITY ENTERS ARMA2
"The original concept came from [R-DEV]UK_Force over 9 months ago; the aim was to create a modification of ArmA2 in line with the Project Reality vision, bringing PR-style gameplay to the Real Virtuality 3 engine. This project has finally overcome the first hurdle towards becoming a reality with its first release, due soon. The team has drawn on some of the finest ArmA2 modders and developers, and following their amalgamation production, started in earnest with work going on behind the scenes to make this happen before official announcement.
It now gives us great pleasure to officially welcome the personalities responsible for PR:ArmA2 into the Project Reality development team. In doing so, we would like to take this moment to thank them for their hard work over the last few months. We are very proud to officially welcome [R-DEV]StalkerGB, [R-DEV]DeanosBeano, [R-DEV]Dr_Eyeball and [R-DEV]trini_scourge as the newest additions to the Project Reality Development Team!"

JCOVE (VBS2) LITE RELEASED
I don't suppose it's of interest to many people here but maybe one or two. You can currently download a lite version of the U.K. MOD's VBS2 package if you're at all interested in seeing ArmA1 in its military training form. It won't be as pretty as even ArmA1 (let alone ArmA2), in fact much of VBS2 is visually extremely basic (though there are also parts that aren't) because it's a no-nonsense training tool but as fan of the series I am interested in seeing how it differs. It does have the FLIR implementation that is destined in some form for Operation Arrowhead and other features we'd all love to have in ArmA like the ability to shoot from vehicles. Anyway, it's 2.3GB and you can download it after first registering at http://www.jcove-lite.co.uk/.

While there currently are no dedicated servers, you can play together with friends using Hamachi (freeware). You can now join the JCOVE Lite Hamachi group. You will require these details:
Network Name: VBS2 JCOVE Password: abc123
Samawah (pictured in the link above) is apparently included.
