The British Are Coming!
SURPRISE ARROWHEAD FEATURE ORFUTURE DLC?

I know I'd happily pay for 'em, especially as we know BI don't skimp on content.

Wow, did not see that coming, well played BIS. It would be incredible if these come with Arrowhead, it was already promising a huge amount of content, British too would be insane. As you say, would happily pay for these as a DLC if that's the route they're taking. Very happily, they look fantastic.
It's like they've started the win train and don't know how to stop.

Re: The British Are Coming!
Was thinking, my (tenuous) bet is on the Brits being included in Arrowhead at retail, for these reasons: 1. It's somewhat odd releasing teaser images for a DLC for a game that isn't even out for a month, and 2. So far we've seen British infantry, light vehicle, and transport chopper, exactly the same as the Czech units, so perhaps they'll be a third mini-faction.
However unlike the Czechs and Germans the British seem deserving of a lot more content, right up to a full-blown faction alongside the US Army, so it would seem a bit odd only adding in a small selection and leaving it there. That would perhaps support the DLC theory.
Of course the two aren't incompatible - BIS might release the above units and vehicles with Arrowhead as a teaser for a much larger DLC fleshing out the Brits into a full faction. It would seem awfully generous, but they did give us the Apache from OA for free. I'm honestly not sure. My instinct is the first scenario, however the fact that they've confirmed a substantial DLC for down the track does make the Brits seem very logical, it's a bit hard to think what they'd do otherwise.
Isn't pointless speculation fun! Yes? No? I'll get my coat.

Re: The British Are Coming!
And when someone asked "So how exactly will this be, for lack of a better word, protected? Like if I buy the DLC then what's to stop me passing it to my mate I wonder..."
Maruk the CEO said "Your dignity?"
So looks like we won't even have to deal with copy protection, BI are sexy.
And when asked "How will NON-DLC users be handled? Would be a shame if servers became unusable by others due to them running this DLC. Then we will have more divisions between Vanilla / ACE / DLC."
He replied "We have a solid plan to address this problem."
...which is more than I was expecting, I would have been quite happy with a get it or lump it approach, that'll be potentially great for public servers.
EDIT: A few more screens from a Czech site showing woodland camo:

Re: The British Are Coming!
An absolute bargain for just NZ$13.80. If it should turn out to be possible I know I won't be handing it on to anybody. I think a solid plan for the handling of non-DLC users would be to simply substitute default US Army units.

Re: The British Are Coming!
Yea handled badly would leave communities fragmented as they can't expect everyone to own all arma2 content (arma2/oa/plus any DLC).
Looks good through.
